Work History

2013-PresentIPS Engineering/EPC

Design Drafter

·   Organized work on property plats for the Bluegrass Project. This job had over 1,000 plats to be created. I kept track using Excel spreadsheets which were adapted as we went along to accommodate our needs. Worked with 3 separate contractors, assigning them plats and working up a separate instruction sheets for each contractor. Work was put on an ftp site and retrieved for checking. I also delegated work within the mapping dept. I had 2 document control people helping me daily as well and reported weekly results to 2 managers.

·   Coordinated a small pipeline project approximately 8 miles long called Summit. I created 14 alignment sheets, 6 road crossings and about 4 site specific drawings. Occasionally I would get help within the dept. when a tight deadline approached.

·   Created standard drawings and investigated better, more efficient ways of producing drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Also conducted a couple of classes for the department for AutoCAD Civil 3D.

 

 

2012-2013Select Engineering

Designer II

·   Created alignment sheets working closely with the coordinator on first major mapping project this company was involved in. I helped him create spreadsheets and scripts to populate windows in the alignment sheets, such as material band, ownership band, etc. We got a larger project after that which involved the same process, but on a larger scale using AutoCAD 2013 for both projects.

·   Utilized ArcMap 10.1 to cut out images for use in alignment sheets. Also created a simple site specific drawing in ArcMap.

·   Helped out doing foundation plans, a P&ID drawing using CadWorx P&ID, and working a little in electrical.

 

2011-2012City of Tulsa

Graphics Specialist

·   Created plan and profile packages for the water dept. using InRoads and Microstation. Occasional visits to the work site were made in order to help plan the best route for new water lines. Worked closely with engineers and engineering techs in order to complete the projects.

·   As-built updates to atlas pages for water, sewer, and stormwater using Microstation GeoGraphics. We are also working on a new PDF process for the public to access atlas sheets on the City browser.

·   Updating old (7 year old) standard drawings.

Pipeline Mapping Data Technician/Drafter

·   Categorizing pipeline documents for various gathering systems, scanning and processing PDFs to make them fully searchable while adhering to the criteria set up by the dept. Wrote procedures on processing PDFs for in-house and field personnel. Quality checking the work of Print Services, who are assisting in this project.

·   Future work would include as-built alignment sheets.

·   Created drawings for various flare towers for customer and vendor use. Also produced related electrical drawings, all working closely with engineers in this small company. Helped set up drawing standards for them in the month I worked there. I did occasional work for this company in the evenings and weekends.

Mapping Designer

·   Learned Google Earth Pro to make short videos and show routes for projects. Also used images from Google Earth to create alignment sheets for bids. Created crossing drawings, property plats and an HDD drawing in AutoCAD 3D Civil 2010.

·   Assisted in helping management decide what AutoCAD and ArcGIS software to purchase. Maintained project directories and work closely with everyone to get procedures in place and satisfy clients’ needs. This was a start-up engineering company.

·   Accomplished several mapping projects producing site specifics, alignment sheets, property plats, quad sheets, etc.

·   Instrumental in developing a new process for GIS related drawings which included processing various documents into searchable PDFs. I organized material, set up a flow chart, processed PDFs, and created PDF job books for a specific project. Upon completion I worked with the client to address any problems or concerns with the PDFs or job book.
